| Customer Reviews: Nice creative fun. December 22, 2008 J. R. Baker (Orlando, FL) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We have this set and my 10 and 7 year old boys enjoy this. They make some amazingly creative designs of their own creation. An adult has to iron them to stick them together. We are planning on getting additional beads and patterns to complement the set.
Keeps even my ADD guy very busy & content :) July 15, 2009 I am His 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I ordered these beads for our 8-year-old son. We have had a big container of fuse beads for several years, and all of our kids & their friends have enjoyed creating with them. With summer coming, I ordered these for our youngest. He loves them because they're different than the colors we already had - bright, fluorescent colors that glow in the dark. He loves creating both his own designs & some of the many designs pictured that wouldn't occur to him on his own. It's always nice to have a creative outlet when looking at a long stretch of time out of school combined with a very active ADD boy who ends up bouncing around like a human ping pong ball without something to keep his attention well directed & content -- and these do that :)
It's a great "first craft" project December 8, 2008 M. Karamanski (Madison, WI) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I got this for my 5 y.o. girl's birthday. It's the first craft project she and her 3 y.o. sister can work on independently (aside from paper and crayons). THey can both get a bowl of beads and a board and create their design. It's good for fine dexterity motor control. What I like best is that it's a craft that creates a nice enough end project that they can create more or less on their own (obviously mommy does the ironing to fuse the beads-- don't go calling child protective services or anything). It's not messy (Like paints, clay and markers can be) and it's easy for the little ones to do. Mine still just like making patterns on the boards, but it's pretty easy to make the specific designs too.
It's true the colors in the box don't match the pictures on the outside. The glow in the dark aspect isn't very exciting either.
Kind of misleading October 25, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Although this toy is fun, don't buy it just because of the colors on the box., You do not get these colors. You get 1 small bag of beads in very dull colors. I was excited to make the projects on the box but they don't give you all of thoses colors. Also there are no patterns for the projects you have to guess what pegboard to use and just eyeball the project on the box while your trying to make it.
